In todays podcast Natalie shares her 4 step process to expand awareness.
Did you know that you can observe yourself and how you are feeling?Did you know that when you make a practice of becoming aware of your thoughts and feeling you open up more choice in your life?Have you been in relationships that cause you pain then leave only to find yourself back in the same sort of relationship with a different person?Do you have a phobia of a fear that you just can shake?
Would you like to know what I have found to be the most useful information to overcome the reactions and auto pilot that our bodies seem to run off on when we are faced with all these situations, and create change in your life?
Today I thought I would share this with you as I have found it to bring a sense of peace I have never known. I was able to turn off the noise inside my mind and allow calm to filter in.
We have a mechanism in our bodies that is geared to our survival and the minute it is threatened we run a program like a computer does, this program is based on our past experience.
Historically this mechanism was useful because it sends signals to your brain that sends signals to the rest of your body to alert it to danger and to respond appropriately. The only thing is that we are not running from dinosaurs anymore and most of the perceived dangers are things like someone said something that you don’t like or they did something that you did not like. The common denominator here is you and it is not the other persons fault that you are feeling what you are feeling because of what was said or done.
When you realise that you can observe yourself in these situations and see them with a curiosity as apposed to being offended, you will see that you begin to trick this mechanism that used to happen in auto pilot and can proceed with new awareness.
I have come to understand that MY feelings are mine and a result of my conditioning. So it is never someone else FAULT if I feel less that love for a person or situation. I see the lesson and take responsibility for the lesson I am to learn from the situation.
All my life experiences with extreme emotion has lead me to where I am today.
If we can all see that emotions are sign posts to freedom and all we need to do is alert our awareness that we are ready to understand the lessons, we instantly create peace in our lives. We stop worrying about the future and feeling angry about the past, we look at our selves honestly and see who we really are. We can show gratitude to the people and situations that have crossed our path with the lesson and we can live with love in our hearts.
