With nearly a decade as a dedicated radiation therapist, Jess balanced technical precision with heartfelt patient care. At the same time, she maintained a vibrant life as a professional DJ. But behind the scenes, she grappled with anxiety, depressive episodes, people-pleasing, and daily drinking, living a life that looked successful but felt emotionally turbulent.

The turning point came in 2020. Adopting a dog became an unexpected lifeline, leading Jess to gradually taper off anxiety medication, rethink her lifestyle, and ultimately transition out of both her DJ career and healthcare role. Along the way, she discovered the power of community, space-holding, and language as tools for healing, not just “fixing.”
